The story

From the hospital floor to the consultation room.

A career arc shaped by the most complex cases in academic medicine — and the conviction that the answer to most of them was time, depth, and seeing the whole person.

Osteopathic Health & Regenerative Medicine — practice, patient care, and Dr. St. Marie at work

Years of academic hospitalist work.

Dr. St. Marie spent years as an academic hospitalist, caring for severely ill patients across internal medicine, critical care, and complex multi-system disease. He learned to read layered cases — the kind where the third diagnosis is what's actually driving the first two.

He also saw what hospital medicine couldn't deliver: time. The slow, careful, comprehensive evaluation most patients never got — the one that catches the through-line specialists couldn't see in fifteen-minute visits.

“The longer I practiced, the clearer it got: most of these patients weren't getting harder. They were getting less time.”
The method

Time. Presence. Direct communication.

The four principles that shape every consult, every workup, every plan. Built around what patients have been telling us for years: they don't need more referrals. They need to be heard.

Time

Three-to-four-hour first consults. No fifteen-minute conveyor belt. Bring the whole history — we'll read all of it.

Presence

Hands-on osteopathic exam. Direct conversation. The kind of presence that's been missing from medicine for a generation.

Precision

Evidence-based protocols. Lab-titrated dosing. Comprehensive workups read by one physician who knows the whole picture.

Whole-Person

Hormones, gut, joints, sleep, metabolic, autoimmune — never read in isolation. The body is one system, and the plan reflects that.

Training & expertise

Where the depth comes from.

A clinical background built for complexity — internal medicine for systemic reasoning, critical care for layered acuity, and osteopathic medicine for hands-on whole-person evaluation.

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

DO degree with foundational training in osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) and a whole-person philosophy of care.

Internal Medicine Residency

Residency training in internal medicine — the systems-level reasoning that anchors how he reads complex, multi-organ cases.

Critical Care & Hospitalist

Academic critical-care & hospitalist experience caring for severely ill patients with layered, life-threatening disease.

Osteopathic Manipulation (OMT)

Hands-on diagnosis and treatment of somatic dysfunction across all body regions, including cranial and visceral techniques.

Hormone & Regenerative Medicine

Bioidentical hormone replacement (men & women), peptide protocols, and regenerative injection-based therapies for joint and soft-tissue care.

Integrative & Functional

Functional medicine framing for gut, microbiome, metabolic, and autoimmune evaluation — layered into traditional internal-medicine workups.

Why osteopathic?

A different starting point.

Osteopathic medicine starts from a simple premise: the body is one connected system, and structure shapes function. When something is off, you'll often feel it in places that don't seem related to the cause.

That's why osteopathic physicians train in hands-on diagnosis and treatment alongside the full standard medical curriculum. We're medical doctors with an extra lens — not less, but more.

It's also why a Dr. St. Marie consult feels different. The exam is hands-on. The history is long-form. The plan reads the whole body, not one referral at a time.

Ready to be heard?

Three to four hours. One physician. The whole story.

Bring the records, the timeline, and the questions no one had time to ask. We'll find the through-line and build the plan from there.
